The Living Mission Community is a gathering of those who have been involved in a S.O.S. mission. Its a time to come together in discussion, fellowship and prayer to share how the mission experience has transformed our lives and to learn and identify how we as a community can carry the mission values into our daily lives and the world around us.

The Living Mission Community will meet four times a year for a potluck dinner and discussion time and then once a year for an annual retreat. Some of the reflection points of the gatherings are:

What ideas / values did I hope to bring back from my mission experience
and incorporate into my daily life?
What has helped or hindered me in that endeavor?
What conversion or the need for conversion did I recognize in my life,
my society as a result of my mission experience?
What riches did I find among the Maya and what poverty did I recognize
in my own culture?
Who are the "poor" in our own society and what riches do they bring to us?
What injustices did I see on mission or see in the world around me
and what am I called to do about these injustices?
