SURGERIES
Take place in a national government hospital in the town of Santa Cruz.

PHACO LEGACY

SURGICAL SUPPLIES
Alcon donates most supplies needed. However, surgeons will need to bring some of their critical instruments... and if desired, their surgical Tech.

LODGING
Surgical Teams stay on the hospital grounds in a dormitory style guest house.
Optometrists, during the first week, stay at Hotel El Sitio, a very nice and clean hotel in the town of Santa Cruz.

COST OF TRIP
Total cost of trip is $1,000, which covers everything: transportation, lodging, food, airfare.
Surgeons costs are covered. However, we encourage them to contribute a portion of this amount at their discretion to help offset some of the expense so that S.O.S. funds can be used for other Medical and Empowerment Programs for the Maya.

To sign up for one of the 2009 mission trips, begin the process by sending in the S.O.S. Pre-Application Form
